Religion - I will introduce chapter 12, "We Keep the Lord's Day Holy" about the Second Commandment. We will read and discuss pages 97 and 98 as the students will read about how Sunday is a day we workship God, rest and pray.
Math - We will review question 15 on pages 866 and the homework from page 868 on "Dividing With Remainders". We will complete a Math worksheet on the same topic for homework, odd numbered questions only. All work will be completed in the Math notebook.
Reading - We will review the Reading exam from Friday on the story "The Cricket in Times Square" Then I jump ahead in our Reader to an appropriate story with our pending snow entitled "Snowflake Bentley" I will introduce the Vocab. from pages 744 and 745. Then we will read the passage which employs these words. We will also preview the story from pages 746 to 767. We will also Meet the Author and Illustrator on page 768. Homework will be to complete RPB page 254 on the new Vocabulary terms.
Vocabulary - I will introduce our new words from pages 80 and 81 and then we will read the passage on pages 78 and 79 entitled, "Hiking the Appalachian Trial" which employs our new words.
Social Studies - we will have our final review from our Study Guide before tomorrow's chapter 4 exam! There will be a review of chapter 4 worksheet to complete and to return to me.
Science - We will read and discuss page 93 about how matter flows through a food web.
Music- 12:15 to 12:50
Relgion - We will read and discuss pages 99 and 100 which focuses on keeping the Lord's Day Holy. There will be a homework assignmnet to complete page 101.
Math - We will review the worksheet homework on Division. Then I will teach pages 869 and 870 on "Interpreting Remainders". Homework will be page 871.
Reading - We will review the homework from the RPB on page 254. Then I will read aloud our new story, "Snowflake Bentley" We will focus on "Drawing Conclusions" We will complete together the "drawing Conclusion" chart on page 256. Homework will be page 255 in the RPB.
Vocabulary - I will teach the Synonyms and Antonyms of our list words from page 83. For homework I will post a Sadlier Connect assignmnet on "Match the Meaning"
Social Studies - we will review the worksheet homework on the chapter 4 review. Then I will assign the exam on the same.
Science - We will read and discuss page 94 and 95 which discusses how an ecosystem decays.
Computer -10:00 to 10:45
Religion - we will review the workbook homework from page 101 on "Celebrating the Eucharist" Then we will review chapter 12 as we discuss Saint Margariat on page 102.
Math - We will review the workbook homework on Dividing With Remainders from page 871. Then we will coninue to discuss this topic as we complete together pages 872 and 873. Homework will be more of the same on page 874.
Reading - We will review the homework from page 254 in the RPB on Drawing Conclusions. Then the class will conduct a Guided Reading of our story, "Snowflake Bentley" There will be a homework assignmnet on Reading Fluency on page 255 from the RPB.
Vocabulary - We will review the Match the Meaning Sadlier Connect assignmnet with page 82 . Then I will teach the "Complete the Sentence" on page 84.
Social Studies - I will introduce Unit 3 on page 159, "New York and the New Nation". We will discuss the Louis Szanto painting of George Washington. We will also discuss the time line on pages 160 and 161. Finally, we will Meet the People on pages 162 and 163.
Science - The class will complete a worksheet on lesson 3, pages 90 to 95 about decay in the ecosystem.
