We are happy to welcome Ms. Maribel Vega, our new Kindergarten teacher. Ms. Vega has 22 years' experience teaching young children in Catholic schools. Our best wishes go with Mrs. C as she departs for a new position much closer to home. We thank her for all she has done at OLR over the last 8 years.
Congratulations to all of our students who earned academic honors for the 1st quarter. The complete list is posted in the Wednesday Folder. In addition, we will hold a virtual Honors Assembly for each class on this Friday. Your teacher will give you the time. We will use each class' regular Zoom meeting. Remote families will be able to come to school on Friday to pick up their ribbons and awards.

We now have a limited number of school masks. Every student in the building who asked received one. If you would like one, just ask (no charge.) The only rule......you wear it!
Our Lady of Refuge School will reopen on Wednesday 9 September. Parents have chosen to have children in one of two groups: REMOTE--those students who will stay at home and learn on-line, as they did last spring and IN SCHOOL-those students who will come to school every day. Because of the size of the classes, students coming to school can come every day. We will not split them. For more info see the documents in the Wednesday Folder.
Please carefully review the Re-Opening plans developed by the Superintendent's Office (home page) and the specific details for Our Lady of Refuge School in the Wednesday Folder. Please call or email with any questions.
All students will receive their required school supplies when they return to school FREE OF CHARGE. Parents need not shop for the usual items (pens, pencils, notebooks, etc.) This is the school's way of saying THANK YOU to all parents who have been so supportive through these difficult times.
